Features and Benefits

Soft tip points have large, flat points that protrude from the set screw s body. The tip is often made of nylon, which is rigid but soft. Soft tip points are used absorb vibration and provide tight fixes without marking the material.
Hex socket drive types have a hex-shaped recess in the head and are driven with hex keys or hex socket bits. The driving surface is protected from external damage and provides six sides of contact surface for added torque.
Alloy steel is the strongest of all steel types. It has high tensile strength and offers excellent resistance to wear, fatigue and galling.

Features and Benefits

Fillister head types have thick, cylindrical heads of a relatively small diameter. This allows a deep drive slot on a small area for increased torque.
Slotted drive types are used with flat-blade drivers. They have one linear slot that runs the length of the head. Drivers must be centered in the slot during tightening or they will slip out and damage the fastener.
